Gemstone We Love This Week: Apatite

Why do we love it: We have a big apettite for Apatite. It’s cool blue color is so crisp and beautiful.

Where is it from: South America, Canada , Africa, India and Eastern Europe. It’s pretty dispersed.

What’s it made of: Apatite is made mostly of Phosphates, and tends to be quite brittle when handling.

Magical property: It’s considered a cleansing stone, used for calming the aura and mental state. If you’re feeling angry, overwhelmed and overall bothered, meditate on an apatite stone. It is also considered a dream stone, place it under your pillow and you will have good dreams. Recommended for creative needs.

Birthstone: Not traditionally a birthstone, but some say it is associated with Geminis.

Fun Fact: Even though it has a beautiful blue color, Apatite is made mainly of phosphates, the same mineral that makes up our bones and teeth!
